There was a list on the notice-board in Gee Gees with 9 names on it, but this has unfortunately disappeared. If anyone else is interested in playing in this match, please also contact Charlie asap - the cost will be €40 plus €20 for a buggy. New Venue for Booking Days Please note that Booking Days will now be held in Gee-Gee's bar which is located on the Via Park VI on the front. Lo Romero Golf Course   The following is the text of an email from Lo Romero - Campoverde Golf Society has requested a block-booking for Monday 28th January "I inform you that the opening date of Lo Romero Golf is the next 26th January. After this date you can play it. If you wish to book a tee time, you can do it by e-mail, presently in Caddie Master or by phone (902 18 09 18).   Lo Romero is beginning without full membership but we are offering one year being our membership (personal and no transferable). The price will be for individual annual membership 1440€, 720€ for your partner and 360€ for each children and the green fee will be 5€ per round and per person.   The opening promotion Green fees (18 holes) is being  35 euros during the first two-three month, and It will be increased until 45€.   Lo Romero Golf offers the following services and fees:   Buggy: 30,00 €, Electric Trolleys: 10,00 € Hand Trolleys: 3,00 € Green Fees Driving Range: 3,00 € Balls practice (25 ud.): 1,00 € Hire set of golf club: 15,00 €                           Golf lesson 1 hour per person: 30,00 € Collective Golf lesson 6 hour per person monthly LADIES: 70€ Collective Golf lesson 6 hour per person monthly SENIORS: 80 €       (The tariffs are provisional and can be changed) "

  New Competition

  The new Competitions Member (Alan Boulger) has introduced a new competition, to commence with the President's Cup Competition on 19 Nov. The competition will run over a period of 10-12  months, with the best 6 scores from 12 qualifying competitions to count. There will be the usual 3 divisions, and prizes will be awarded for the winner & runner-up in each division. Further details regarding this competition will be available on the notice-board in the VIP Sports Bar.

New Bookings Policy

The CGS Committee has decided that with immediate effect bookings for golf days will only be accepted with payment - there will be no exceptions to this rule. Any member who is unable to attend a booking day will have to arrange for a friend to book & pay on his or her behalf. It is unfair to burden a committee member every golfing day with the task of collecting unpaid green fees - after all we are all out to enjoy a game of golf without the hassle of collecting money.
